My name is Kaitlyn McGuire, and I graduated in May 2024 from Northeastern University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Physics. I chose to study engineering because I love analyzing challenging problems and designing strong and clever solutions for them.
My previous work experience includes two 6-month co-ops at Abiomed and Arnasi Group where I worked as a Product Development Engineer on projects with medical device and CPG applications, respectively. I am currently looking for full-time roles in the product development sphere but I'm also interested in mechatronics and systems engineering positions.
I spent my freshman year at Northeastern at home. Once I got to campus, I became involved with the Society of Women Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. I have also worked on campus as an Administrative Assistant at Khoury College of Computer Science from September 2021 to June 2022, and as a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Career Peer from February 2023 to the end of my undergrad in April 2024.
In my free time, I enjoy going to museums, photography, cooking, knitting, and crocheting. I also love kayaking with my family and spending time by the ocean.
